Improving the values of education As Education is a key to success, we aim to improve education in Luweero district. We work with local schools to improve the quality of education and to make education available to the underprivileged children. Through our education programmes we are able to reach 450 children. Out of these, school fees for 135 boys and girls are paid for. All our children are provided with scholastic materials including uniforms, books, pens, pencils, geometry sets among others. We are looking for more funds to sponsor more needy children and to provide them with a fair meal while at school. Improve rural health Every day, thousands of Ugandans face health challenges, they lack high-quality health care that helps to maintain or restore their health and ability to function. Our major goal of health care is to improve and maintain good health and existing health cares in our communities,focusing on the areas that need improvement such as HIV/AIDS, Safe Water, Sanitation and Malaria control. Creating and supporting sustainable livelihoods Poverty,illiteracy,and inequality present some of the biggest challenges affecting livelihoods. In our communities especially to those affected by issues surrounding HIV/AIDS, orphans, single parents and people living with disabilities. Through our voluntary work, we provide financial support, life skills, adult literacy ,gender equality, fight discrimination against people with disabilities and advice to help these people build sustainable livelihoods, giving them the chance to feed themselves and live a life of self-respect. We enable families to set up small, sustainable businesses. We provide little money to widows to support their families and plan for the future. |
